The publication of the CCAE-93 Rev. 1 contains an introduction and four parts. The first part both summarises the historical and conceptual framework in which economic classifications are developed for statistical purposes, and provides an explanation of the harmonisation of the main classifications of economic activities. The second part contains the characteristics of the CCAE-93 Rev. 1, as well as the modifications in the code and a description compared to the CCAE-93. The third part presents the structure of the CCAE-93 Rev. 1, explanatory notes for the content of the most disaggregated categories, a brief version of the classification up to three digits, and a table showing the correspondences between the CCAE-93, the CNAE-93 Rev.1 and the NACE Rev.1.1. The fourth part includes the annexes, including the legal ruling approving the revision of the CCAE-93 and the terminological criteria and bibliographic materials used.
